§ Mr. Cyril Smithasked the Secretary of State for Social Services in view of the fact that the Birmingham Accident Hospital workshop is the only workshop in the United Kingdom with the specific purpose of helping the rehabilitation of people with head injuries, whether he will investigate the need to establish further workshops of this kind.

JosephI am reviewing the provision of medical rehabilitation services in the light of the recommendations of the report on rehabilitation by a subcommittee of the Standing Medical46W Advisory Committee which was published last year. I am aware of the pioneering work done by the Birmingham Accident Hospital and this will be taken into consideration in the review.
