The figure for Australia is taken from the latest United Nations Yearbook of National Accounts and relates to the fiscal year beginning 1st July 1969. The figures for the United Kingdom are based on the latest published estimates, adjusted to international10W definitions. The Australian figure has been converted to £ sterling at official exchange rates, but these do not necessarily reflect differences in internal purchasing power.
