§ Mr. ChannonArrangements already exist for keeping fire brigades in touch with the results of research carried out at the Fire Research Station. My right hon. Friends the Home Secretary and the Secretary of State for Scotland and I are, however, examining as a matter of urgency how these arrangements could be improved. Fire hazards associated with combustible linings used in buildings have been drawn to the attention of fire brigades from time to time in fire prevention guidance issued by the Home Departments, which takes into account the Fire Research Station's findings.
