§ Mr. Shoreasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether the subsidies for bacon and sugar which are shortly to be withdrawn, following his statement of 29th January, are incompatible with EEC regulations; and if so, what are the relevant regulations concerned.
§ Mr. Anthony StodartThe effect of the Council decisions of 24th January is to give authority for the temporary continuation of these subsidies which would otherwise have been subject to the provisions of Articles 92–94 of the Treaty of Rome.
