§ 24. Mr. Biggs-Davisonasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether, through Her Majesty's Inspectorate, she will increase the amount of advice and training of teachers on the subject of sex education to meet the increased need for such teaching.
§ Mrs. ThatcherI believe that sex education is best regarded as an integral part of moral, social and health education. These aspects of the work of teachers are a close concern of the colleges of education and Her Majesty's inspectors will continue to emphasise their importance both in the initial and in-service training of teachers.
