§ Mr. Cordleasked the Prime Minister whether he will recommend the setting up of a Royal Commission or other inquiry body to inquire into the workings of the Parliamentary Commissioner for Administration and to report to Parliament on whether the Parliamentary Commissioner's powers are wide enough and his department is of sufficient strength, and what, if any, changes in the 1967 Act are required to ensure the more efficient and far-ranging operation of the Parliamentary Commissioner's Department.
§ The Prime MinisterNo. I am satisfied with the existing arrangements whereby these matters are kept under review, including reports by the Select Committee on the Parliamentary Commissioner for Administration.
