§ Mr. Eldon GriffithsMy right hon. Friend has no plans at present for widening this section of M1. Relief could be provided by possible new routes from M1 near Northampton to A1 and from M1 near Luton to M11 near Bishops Stortford now under study, and by the proposed extension of the M40 from Oxford to Birmingham.
