§ Mr. Redmondasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will define the functions and responsibilities of his Property Services Agency and make a statement as to the value of purchases made in the last year on behalf of nationalised corporations and other bodies, giving the value for each, together with the charges made to each for services rendered.
§ Mr. ChannonThe functions and responsibilities of the Property Services Agency were defined in the reply given by my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister in answer to a Question from the hon. Member for Devizes (Mr. Charles Morrison) on 5th May 1972. The general aim of the agency is to meet the needs of Government Departments—including the Armed Services—and approved clients in the public sector for land, accommodation, fixed installations and associated supplies and transport services.—[Vol. 836, c.217–8.]
