§ Mr. Stanbrookasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will sponsor a national scheme to encourage car drivers to give lifts to pedestrians.
§ Mr. PeytonI have already announced—[Vol. 866, c.290–1]— relaxations of bus licensing regulations which will allow payment for such lifts. This is primarily to assist rural communities where public transport is scarce.
