§ Mr. Alexander Fletcherasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he will make a statement on the management review of the Scottish Office.
§ Mr. Gordon CampbellThe management review of the Scottish Office was begun in November 1972 and has recently been completed. The main recommendation of the review was the setting up of a management group of senior officials to strengthen the existing arrangements for the co-ordination of the work of the Scottish Departments, and in reply to my hon. Friend the Member for Fife, East, (Sir J. Gilmour) I announced the formation of this group on 23rd May 1973—[Vol. 857, c. 72–3.] Further changes in Scottish Office organisation and procedures have 389W been made or are in course of being introduced following the review.
