§ Mr. Anthony RoyleYes. The rôle of the Financial Secretary, who is assisted by his staff in the Finance and Economic Branches of the Hong Kong Secretariat, is to advise the Governor on all questions relating to the financial and economic affairs of the colony. In this rôle he is an ex-officio member of the Hong Kong Executive and Legislative Council.
