§ Mr. Clinton Davisasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will make a statement on his meeting this month with representatives of the College of Speech Therapists concerning the implementation of the recommendations of the Quirk Report.
§ Sir K. JosephI assured the college representatives that their views would be carefully considered. I also confirmed that 271W I hope to make a statement on the Quirk Report as soon as possible and that formal consultations between the profession and the four Departments concerned could then begin.
