§ Mr. Michael HeseltineThe British Aircraft Corporation currently estimates that its development flying will consume about 6 million gallons of fuel up to the award of a certificate of airworthiness. This represents 0.7 per cent. of the estimated consumption of aviation fuel in the United Kingdom over the same period. Consumption in the first six months of 1974 will be kept down to less than 1,300,000 gallons.
