asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, as Great Britain is a member of the ECSC, if he will consider relating the price of coal to that of fuel oil in order to recoup NCB losses.

It is for the National Coal Board to decide the price of coal. I have no doubt that it takes account of the price of competing fuels and its own costs.
