§ Mr. Merlyn Reesasked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will cause an investigation to be held by the Factory Inspectorate into the explosion at the Yorkshire Chemical Works, Hunslet Road, Leeds 10.
§ Mr. Dudley SmithNews of the explosion was telephoned to the district 81W inspector of factories who immediately began an investigation. The investigation is continuing into the cause of the explosion and the inspectorate's specialist chemical section concerned with industrial explosions is providing technical and laboratory support.
