§ Mr. Pardoeasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what estimate he has made of the energy efficiency of different types of transport for passengers and freight; and if he will set out his estimate of passenger miles per gallon achieved by the average internal passenger plane, the average inter-city train, the average car, the average longdistance bus, and the average urban bus, and the number of cargo ton miles per gallon achieved by the average freight train and average lorry.
