§ Mr. RaisonAfter investigation of the changes in the cash value of grants needed to maintain their real value, a joint working party of the Education Departments, the National Union of Students, and the Scottish Union of Students concluded, in December 1970, that, for the period beginning September 1971, the rates of standard maintenance grant required to maintain the real value of the rates recommended for the previous triennium were as follows:
