§ Sir K. JosephThis is in accordance with an agreement of the Nurses and Midwives Whitley Council which provides for payment for hours above 40 a week to grades up to and including ward sister, or the equivalent level, if additional off-duty time in lieu of the excess hours cannot be granted. Subject to the requirements of the service, grades at the level of nursing officer, Salmon Grade 7, and above may receive additional off-duty time in lieu of excess hours.
