§ Mr. Meacherasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will instruct his local officials not to send unemployed claimants for jobs whose net basic rate falls below supplementary benefit rates and whose gross basic rate did not raise 88W wages above family income supplement level.
§ Mr. DeanUnemployment review officers of the Supplementary Benefits Commission are not expected to press a claimant to accept a job which, taking FIS into account, would leave him materially worse off financially than he would be if he remained on supplementary benefit.
