§ 44. Mr. Fryasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will advise the new regional health authorities to examine closely the provisions at present being made for chiropody for the elderly to ensure that there is no reduction in the standard of service.
§ Sir K. JosephThe new regional and area health authorities have been advised that their overriding objective is to ensure that there is no interference with the services to the public as a result of the handover of responsibilities on 1st April 1974. This general guidance will be 83W followed by advice on particular services including chiropody for which the elderly are one of the priority groups.
