§ Mr. Anthony StodartThe average price of all sales of agricultural land in England and Wales notified to the Inland Revenue during the six months ended 30th September 1973 was £506 an acre. The corresponding figure for the six months ended 30th September 1970 was £199 an acre. The average figure for the year ended 30th September 1973 was £442 an acre, as compared with £200 an acre for the year ended 30th September 1970. I regret that information for June 1970 is not available.
