asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the present number of acres of derelict land which has been scheduled for reclamation in the Yorskhire and Humberside Region, with the names of the local authorities concerned.

At the time of the latest survey carried out at the end of 1971 there were 10,544 acres regarded as justifying reclamation. Approval has been given for grant purposes to 61 schemes covering 951 acres in 1972–73 and 31 schemes covering 275 acres in 1973–74 by the local authorities listed below:

Lincolnshire (Lindsey) County Council.

Halifax CBC.

Leeds CBC.

Rotherham CBC.

Bradford CBC.

Sheffield CBC.

Huddersfield CBC.
