§ Mr. CarlisleThe traffic arrangements made by the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis are designed to minimise the unavoidable inconvenience caused by street closures on ceremonial occasions. At the next State visit on 11th December the Commissioner proposes as an experiment until the arrival of the visitor at Victoria Station to allow some bus services to operate across the streets which are closed.
