§ Mr. Elystan Morganasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food how much higher the average cost of production per gallon of milk is in Wales compared with in England.
§ Mr. Anthony StodartThe most recent university survey data of costs and returns in milk production which is available relates to the year ending 31st March 1969. This showed no significant difference in the average cost of production per gallon of milk between England and Wales. The results for the year 1972–73 are expected to be available very shortly, and I will write to the hon. Member as soon as they are.
