§ Mr. Graham PageEvery appeal to my right hon. and learned Friend as a result of a refusal of planning permission has to be considered on its merits having regard to the relevant planning considerations, and it would be improper to undertake to uphold the view of individual local planning authorities on any specific matter. Nevertheless, the factors referred to will be among those taken into account in deciding appeals relating to petrol filling station canopies.
