§ Mr. Staintonasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will amend Regulation 8 of the consultation draft of the compensation regulations to be applied to local government officers on reorganisation to eliminate distinction between men and women, both on grounds of non-discrimination and in the light of the common compulsory retiring age under the Local Government Superannuation Act.
