asked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will give the number of unemployed persons registered in the Northern Region who are aged 50 years and over.

On 9th July 1973, the latest date for which the information is available, there were 19,982.

asked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will state the number of disabled persons registered as unemployed in the Northern Region.

On 12th November 1973, 6,432 registered disabled people were unemployed in the Northern Region.

asked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will state the number of unfilled vacanies for women at present registered in the Northern Region.

On 5th November 1973 there were 8,309 unfilled vacancies for women in the region. The figure relates only to vacancies notified to employment offices and careers offices and does not measure the total unsatisfied demand for labour.
