§ Mr. Brayasked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many driving licences were issued to applicants aged 16 years between 1st January and 30th June, and 1st July and 31st December during the years 1970, 1971, 1972 and during the first six months of 1973.
§ Mr. PeytonThe cost of providing the full figures would be disproportionate, but during the whole of 1970, 152,893 provisional licences were issued to 16-year-olds ; between 1st March and 30th September 1973, 72,376 provisional and 83 full licences were issued to them.
