HC Deb 04 December 1973 vol 865 c341W
Sir E. Brown

asked the Attorney-General if he will introduce legislation to regulate the procedure for the handing over of children to one parent or the other consequent upon a court order.

The Attorney-General

Legislation is not the answer to this problem. Cases and circumstances vary too greatly. It is for the court when making an order of this kind to give such direction and make such arrangements as may be best designed to minimise in each case the risks and reduce the distress which are sometimes caused in matters affecting the custody and care of children and access to them.
