Friend the Prime Minister has made clear to the House on several occasions that both he and President Pompidou take the view that the time is not right for discussion of Anglo-French nuclear defence co-operation. As regards civil nuclear policy, the future of the United Kingdom nuclear industry will of course be closely linked to the future of the industry in the European Community including France.
