§ Rear-Admiral Morgan-Gilesasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what progress has been made in reducing the delay in issuing provisional driving licences, and the consequent inconvenience to L drivers wishing to start driving lessons.
§ Mr. PeytonApplications for first provisional licences are now being processed as soon as they come in, and are normally being cleared within 10 working days. Some of the applications which ran into difficulty as a result of strikes at the centre during March have still not been dealt with. I hope they will be cleared shortly.
