§ Mr. Allasonasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he has yet appointed a new chairman for the Housing Corporation and the National Building Agency, respectively.
§ Mr. RipponI have appointed jointly with my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland and my right hon. and learned Friend the Secretary of State for Wales Lord Goodman to be the Chairman of both the Housing Corporation and the National Building Agency from 16th April 1973. Lord Goodman's first task will be to review their functions and relationship to enable them to make the most effective contribution to the new initiatives for the voluntary housing movement proposed by the Government in the White Papers Cmnd. 5280 and Cmnd. 5272.
