asked the Leader of the House on how many occasions each week, since the suggestion was made on December 12, 1972 that the right of a noble Lord to table Questions should be limited to two a week, the permitted maximum on the Order Paper of four Questions a day has not been reached.

The table below shows the number of sitting days since December 12 on which fewer than four Starred Questions were asked. Since in half these cases the failure to reach the permitted maximum may have been due to withdrawal of Questions which had been set down for that day, I have also shown the number of Questions withdrawn.
