§ Mr. CarlisleMagistrates' courts buildings in the new Merseyside county area will in due course become the responsibility of the new magistrates' courts committees and the metropolitan district councils.
The proposals made by existing authorities for the area of the new county include new courthouses at St. Helens and at Huyton with Roby, both of which are under construction and due for completion later this year. Other new courthouses have been proposed at Crosby, to start during the financial year 1975–76, for completion during 1977–78, and at Liverpool, to start during 1977–78, for completion during 1981–82.
