HC Deb 09 April 1973 vol 854 cc204-5W
Mr. David Clark

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will make public the results of the field trials undertaken by his Department and the Forestry Commission on the use of Warfarin on grey squirrels.

Mrs. Fenner

The purpose of these field trials was to develop a safe and humane method of controlling grey squirrels without significant risks to other wildlife. The work has been successfully completed and the Forestry Commission will be publishing it in a suitable scientific journal. Meantime national organisations with an interest have been informed of the research conclusions.
