HC Deb 09 April 1973 vol 854 cc194-5W
Mr. Oakes

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if the Civil Aviation Authority inquiry being conducted on his behalf has yet considered the future of Liverpool Airport.

Mr. Onslow

The Civil Aviation Authority tells me that the future of Liverpool Airport is being considered as a part of the study into the future structure of airports in the North and Midlands.

Mr. Oakes

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry when he expects to receive the report of the Civil Aviation Authority on Regional Airports.

Mr. Onslow

I understand that the Civil Aviation Authority's study into the structure of the airport system in the North and Midlands will be completed by the end of this year. We expect to receive the report shortly thereafter.
