Mr. Joel Barnett

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer, in view of the fact that in certain Government advertisements

for injuries caused by fireworks during the period 15th October to 11th November 1972. Figures are also given for the comparable four-week periods in 1971, 1970, 1969 and 1968, when the total numbers of persons involved were 1,059. 1,164, 1,636 and 2,537.

relating to VAT there was content of a party political nature, if he will advise Ministers to take steps to ensure that their Departments do not use public funds for these purposes.

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will take action to ensure that toilet paper and sanitary towels are zero rated for value added tax.
