§ Mr. Biffenasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what representations have been received concerning proposed imports of liquid milk from the Irish Republic; what answers have been given; and if he will make a statement clarifying the extent to which such shipments may now take place on account of European Economic Community legislation.
§ Mr. Anthony StodartOne company has inquired about the conditions governing imports of milk from the Irish Republic. It has been informed that, in accordance with EEC regulation 480/73, imports of bulk milk into the United Kingdom are subject to the payment of a deposit which may be refunded in full or in part if the milk is used for manufacture.
