§ Mr. Woodhouseasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will give a general direction to the British Airports Authority to ensure that adequate provision is made of visual information, to supplement oral announcements, for the benefit of deaf travellers.
§ Mr. OnslowNo. This is a matter for the management of the authority. I am advised, however, that extensive use is already made of visually presented information and, in addition, if a deaf traveller—or any passenger with a disability—asks for special assistance the airlines or the authority will do their best to provide it.
