§ Mr. Dudley SmithMy Department has not made any special studies but the Migration Regional Report for Wales, in the series of published volumes from the 1966 Census of Population, indicates that there were 38,000 economically active men resident in other parts of Great Britain at that time who were resident in Wales five years previously. These were largely counterbalanced by the numbers of economically active males resident in Wales who were previously resident in other parts of Great Britain. Corresponding estimates from the 1971 Census of Population are not yet available.
