HC Deb 04 April 1973 vol 854 c96W
27. Mr. Cormack

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he has studied the report of the Committee for Environmental Conservation on Urban Pressures in the Countryside, a copy of which has been sent to him, and in particular the recommendation that a Royal Commission be set up to study the state of the countryside; and if he will make a statement on his policy towards it.

Mr. Graham Page

Yes. My noble Friend proposes to discuss the report with the chairman of the committee when it has been sufficiently studied by all concerned.
