§ Mr. Anthony StodartThe Inter vention Board for Agricultural Produce is responsible for intervention on beef as well as on other commodities. The Meat and Livestock Commission in Great Britain and the Ministry of Agriculture for Northern Ireland have been appointed to operate the meat intervention arrangements as agents of the Intervention Board. A pamphlet was published by the Intervention Board in January setting out the procedures for selling meat into intervention. Further70W information will be issued, including details of the qualities and buying-in prices for beef for 1973–74, as soon as discussions at present taking place in Brussels have been completed.
