HC Deb 02 April 1973 vol 854 cc32-3W
Sir R. Russell

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if any of the slaughterhouses in Great Britain which are licensed for the slaughter of animals for export fall below the standards required by Continental countries which purchase British carcase meat.

Mrs. Fenner

With the exception of three slaughterhouses in Scotland, which are approved for export to Canada only, all the exports approved slaughterhouses in Great Britain comply with the standards laid down in the EEC Directive on intra-Community trade in Fresh Meat.
