Whether the previously agreed quota of Asian immigrants is now to be curtailed to take account of the expected inflow from Uganda.

If the noble Lord has in mind Asian holders of United Kingdom passports, the answer is that Her Majesty's Government consider that it would be inappropriate to reduce the number of special vouchers for those East African countries who are prepared to keep to the negotiated
