asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they intend to modify the provision in the Museum Act (Northern Ireland) 1961, requiring the Trustees to keep the Ulster Museum open free of charge for a minimum of three days a week.

THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR NORTHERN IRELAND (LORD WINDLESHAM)

Legislation amending the Museums Act is under preparation. The possible modification of this provision is being considered.
