HC Deb 25 October 1972 vol 843 c299W
49. Mr. Rankin

asked the Minister for the Civil Service what steps he is taking to introduce more Civil Service jobs to Scotland.

Mr. Kenneth Baker

I would refer the hon. Member to the answer I gave to the hon. Member for Roxburgh, Selkirk and Peebles (Mr. David Steel) on 15th March, 1972. In addition, Scotland, along with other parts of the country, is being considered as a possible receiving area for work which may be dispersed from London as a result of the current Location Review; I can give no assurances at this stage as to where work might go.—[Vol. 833, c.107–8.]
