§ Mr. R. CarrI have been asked to reply to Questions about the co-ordination of policy on research and development issues. Co-ordination between the Departments concerned on research on the environment is at present satisfactory and will be further improved as the Government's decisions announced in the White Paper "Framework for Government Research and Development" (Cmnd. 5046) are implemented.
