Dame Irene Wardasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer, in view of the fact that the new tax credit scheme is detrimental to some women's interests and has been adversely commented on by the Women's Commission, if he will undertake to meet a deputation representing women's interests before agreeing to legislation.
