HC Deb 24 October 1972 vol 843 cc252-3W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether he will give details of the four applications submitted to his Department for investigation into the affairs of Royston Industries Limited; and how soon after these applications the company collapsed.

Mr. Noble

One applicant claimed on two occasions that the shareholders had not been given all the information about the company which they might reasonably expect. Another application dealt with the management of the company generally and the third applicant referred to the receiver's dealings with the company's assets. All four applications were received after the appointment on 8th December, 1967, of a receiver and manager for the debenture holders.
