Mr. Hicks

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he is now able to announce his decision regarding the Central Electricity Generating Board's application to site an oil-fired power station at Inswerke Point, Millbrook, following receipt of the inspector's report of the public inquiry, or when he hopes to be able to do so.

I am still considering the inspector's report and recommendations in consultation with my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Environment. A decision will be taken as soon as possible, but I am not at present able to say when.
